  • How can I crop/ extract a portion of my mp3 music?

Posted by admin on October 30th, 2009 and filed under mp3 music | 4 Comments »

Say I have a mp3 music with the length of 2:45, I want to cut away the first minute and make it become a new mp3 with length 1:45 (the last 1:45)

Is there any program allow me to "trim" it? Thanks.

There are many easy-to-use audio editing freewares out there at Google.

Here are three that can do as your asked – trimming tool and save as MP3-
WavePad: http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/masters.html (I personally like this one better and I believe you don’t need to download any external plug-in)
    Audacity: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
    GoldWave: http://www.goldwave.com/

Download a program called "Audacity". I use it all the time to make ringtones and it is great and very easy to use. Make sure you download the lame_enc.dll from the site too as you will need it for the .mp3 conversion.

well, if you are a Microsoft Windows user, then, you are almost done.

all what you have to do is to launch the pre-installed application (Movie Maker) in Windows Me and later versions.

to launch the application go to:
Start–> all programs –> Movie maker

or just go to the following path "C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.exe"

once Movie Maker is running, you have to import the mp3 music you want to crop, and follow the instructions in this video

      Hope it works for you
