You can download a torrent on Mininova.org (look for "DVD.SCR" in the title), and use a torrent program such as BitComet to download the film from. VLC Media Player is the best program to watch the actual film on.
Another, easier but more annoying method is to go to this website:
http://www.watch-movies-links.net/
Look at the different files and choose the one with the best rating (above 50% at least; 65 or above usually indicates a HQ film, not some crappy bootleg cam).

Either classic or new movies online, you can watch it on this website. A lot of my friends are watching movies here and they are free of virus and spyware and no download needed. I think this could probably be one of the safest website to go for free movies. Just my 2cent
