A great deal would be a Sony PSP, which has a great music player with a memory card slot for upgradable memory up to 64gb. Along with music, it has a web browser, pictures, video streaming, and of course Video Games. I actually only used mine at a point for music and it is great! not all of the advanced features, but it features the basics like shuffle, repeat, party, visual music, and album art. Sandisk is also a very nice brand. What You should also consider, if you happen to be looking for a new cell phone as well, is to get a cell phone with music capability, that way you do not need to carry two device. Many companies are taking a not out of Apple’s book and including advanced music functionality in their phones.

The UK film industry has slowly gone downhill unfortunately. In the past we use to make quite a few classics with relatively big budgets, most notably Lawrence of Arabia. However, the cost of filming has risen considerably since the golden age of Hollywood, and UK doesn’t have an industry that is developed enough to afford these changes. I think this may be due to bad management. If British producers had focused on making audience friendly productions rather than putting their investment into esoteric productions which have a relatively small niche audience, we maybe in a better position today to compete with the likes of Hollywood. American movies maybe formualiac but they are often highly profitable, and in an industry that is extremely expensive only the studios that are making profitable movies can succeed in this cut throat game. Sad truth but a fact of life. Naturally this means that they often have to compromise on quality.

You mentioned that our films look cheap in comparison. This is due to the fact that one of the biggest increases in film making is the price of film itself. Most Hollywood movies are shot on a very high quality of 35mm film, this is extremely expensive and few English productions want to compromise on the other expenses of movie making just to afford a highly quality film stock.
